INDUCTION BRAKING SYSTEM

Induction brakes, commonly called electric or electromagnetic retarders, allow for deceleration braking, dissipating a large part of the braking energy and thus alleviating the load on conventional braking systems. Thanks to induction brakes, it is possible to effectively slow down a rotating transmission shaft, without friction and therefore without wear.
