The THA Range: the versatility of buckets for handling bulk materials
In the agricultural sector, every activity requires tools that are able to quickly adapt to different operational requirements. From the day-to-day management of livestock farms to the handling of cereals and biomass, as well as operations on larger farms, efficiency and versatility are key factors.
The Magni THA agricultural range was created with this goal in mind, featuring eight models developed to cover a wide range of applications: from the compact THA 3.6, designed to manoeuvre with agility even in the tightest spaces, right up to the more powerful THA 5.8 and THA 5.10. These are complemented by models such as the THA 3.5.7 and THA 3.5.9, which combine compact dimensions with a maximum lifting capacity of up to 3,500 kg, and the THA 5.8 L, the first Magni TH model offered in a „Loader” version, developed for the most demanding operations.
The range has been designed according to a specific philosophy: to offer a balance between power, safety, comfort and adaptability to different agricultural activities.
The agricultural bucket: a single attachment with many uses
The versatility of the THA range is further enhanced by the option to use a wide range of specialised attachments. Among these, agricultural buckets are one of the most important solutions for activities involving the frequent handling of bulk materials.
Feed, cereals, biomass, manure, silage and other materials can be loaded, transported and unloaded using buckets with different specifications and capacities, allowing the machine to be configured to meet the specific requirements of each operation.
The range of attachments includes more compact options, with capacities starting at around 800 litres, right up to high-capacity buckets of 4,000 and 4,500 litres. Various configurations are also available, including buckets with welded or bolted cutting edges, buckets with claws or retainers, and solutions featuring a silage-extraction blade.
The case of the THA 5.8 L is particularly noteworthy: thanks to its fully reinforced boom head, this model can handle buckets with a capacity of up to 4,500 litres, a feature designed for the high-intensity operations typical of medium-to-large farms.
This range of machines makes it possible to tackle a wide variety of operational contexts: from day-to-day farmyard management to activities in the cereal and biomass sectors, where the ability to handle large quantities of material quickly has a direct impact on productivity.
The shake function: easier and more effective emptying
In addition to the attachment’s features, the Magni Combi Touch System – MCTS also includes functions developed specifically to facilitate work in the agricultural sector.
Among these, the Shake function is specifically designed for use with the bucket. Through a rapid movement of the attachment, the system helps to loosen the material during unloading, making it easier to empty the bucket.
This is a particularly useful feature when handling materials that may stick to the inside surfaces of the attachment: unloading is quicker, reducing the number of steps required between one work cycle and the next.
The Shake function is part of a suite of solutions designed to speed up even repetitive tasks, alongside the up-down function, which keeps the attachment perfectly vertical, and the Memory Position function, which allows you to quickly recall previously set working heights and angles.
The machine, the attachment and the technology work together
The integration between the machine and the attachment is further simplified by the Magni TH recognition system.
On THA models with lifting capacities of 4.5 and 5 tonnes, Magni’s automatic attachment recognition system identifies the attached equipment and loads the relevant load charts directly onto the touchscreen display. On the 3- and 3.5-tonne models, on the other hand, the attachment is selected manually using the options built into the Magni Combi Touch System.
The design is intended to make switching between tasks simple and immediate, highlighting one of the core principles underpinning the entire THA range: maximum operational versatility. This concept has also played a central role in the design of the range, which has been developed to meet the needs of farms and more complex material-handling businesses.
